The do's and don'ts of JROTC are learned in a classroom setting during the cadets' elective class period. Each cadet has his or her own Cadet Portfolio in which they complete and file class assignments. These assignments correlate with the Battalion curriculum being taught by the instructors, which could include a range of lessons from the JROTC rank structure, to anger management and problem solving techniques. This is also where cadets will learn how to properly wear the Army Service Uniform. Every Friday of the week cadets are also required to participate in PT (Physical Training) designed to continuously improve the physical fitness of all cadets.
